The Hair Frenzy
So, I searched for hair care products for the lad and I kept coming up dry..... literally.... DRY. I won't name the products I tried, but the problem was they would soften and sheen for a very short amount of time before completely drying out. Brody's auntie explained those products had alcohol in them....
After a stay with Grandma, Brody returned with soft shiny hair fragrant of fresh squeezed lemons.....

Dillards 4oz $12.00 8oz $18.00
This light, fast-absorbing lotion for the hair is made with essential oil of lemongrass to stimulate natural oil production. Vitamins C and E provide an antioxidant boost while a hint of lily of the valley fragrance perfumes hair beautifully. Hair Milk is ideal for defining natural curls and giving hair loads of shine and bounce. Lemongrass stimulates scalp circulation and adds luster to dull hair. Sweet almond oil is a natural nut oil that is high in fatty acids and easily absorbed by the scalp.
P.S. email me with other suggestions of successful hair care products....

So, how was the Easter holiday? Have you managed to clean the dye off your finger tips yet? Brody Joseph celebrated his first Easter with a visit with Mr. Bunny, fresh baked cookies, Sunday morning service, Dinner with the family, and a fabo basket. Such a nice weekend. I, on the other hand, was really creative with my Easter egg hunt this year (wink).......
Like always, I can't wait to see your pictures and hear all about the tons of fun and excitement!

Martha Shames Us Once Again.........

To all my baby food makers......
½ cup finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 small summer squash, trimmed and thinly sliced
2 small potatoes (6 ounces), peeled and chopped
½ cup vegetable or chicken stock
¼ cup frozen peas
Saute the onion in the butter for about 3 minutes or until softened. Add the squash and saute for 1 minute. Add the potatoes, pour in the stock, then cover and simmer for 12 minutes. Add the frozen peas, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and continue to cook for 3 minutes. Puree in a blender.
Cooking time: 19 minutes ~ Makes 3 portions ~ suitable for freezing
**FOOD FACT: All the yellow-fleshed squashes are good sources of beta-carotene, but in zucchini this vitamin is present in any significant amount only in the skin, so they are best cooked and eaten with the skin on.

Hey Good Looking ...... Whatcha Got Cooking?
A steamer. A metal basket steamer is inexpensive and works great.
As many ice cube trays as will fit in your freezer.
Decent freezer bags – you don’t want freezer burn!
Foods that your baby is ready to eat.
2. Steam or boil. In the process of boiling you can loose a lot of nutrients, so try to steam all that you can.
3. Keep all remaining water from the steam/boiling process. You will need this water to thin out the processed food.
4. Throw the cooked food into the processor and just let it process until the food reaches a “puréed” state. Add as much of the leftover water from steaming as is needed. Remember that if you have processed the food while it’s still very hot, it will thicken as it cools.
5. Spoon the food into ice cube trays and freeze.
6. Once frozen, remove the cubes from the trays and put into a freezer bag – label and return to freezer.
Baby Cubes is the only product on the market that has a lid attached directly to each cube for a hassle-free way to prepare and store baby food. There is no more convenient way to store baby food and breast milk than with our Baby Cubes™. This 2oz set contains eight individual freezer cube containers with snap-on, tight fitting lids and a storage tray that allows you to conveniently stack Baby Cubes™ in the freezer!
yummy!
