Snowed In...

interviewer: Soooo, we hear you got an opportunity to play in the snow!! How was it?

Brody Joseph: stupid

interviewer: [gasp] stupid? how so?

Brody Joseph: well, it was very cold outside and I had on four layers of clothes and I was uncomfortable. I just don't get what's the big deal.

interviewer: well did you make a snowball?

Brody Joseph: what's that?

interviewer: a snowball is when you take a hand full of snow and roll it into a ball.

Brody Joseph: Oh, that must have been what my mimi was attempting to force me to do when she tried to place some snow in my hands. As a matter of fact she did mention something about snowball. I just stared at her.

interviewer: well did you see other kids out

Brody Joseph: yep, stared at them too.

Tonight was such a pretty little night. BroJo and I enjoyed dinner and the theater! Soooooo, before the show started a woman spoke about how "wonderful" the concession stand is and how they make the BEST frapuccinos EVER (she said this while bracing a freshly made frap in hand). I was only half way listening, but I heard her mentioning giving away the frap. to some lucky audience member. Still half way listening, I heard her say Row G-something. She handed the frap off to another lady who headed up to "G". As I saw her come in our direction I whispered to my girlyfriend, "Are we in row G?" and she replied, "Yes." Turns out that "G-something was actually G8. And GUESS WHO was sitting in G8............ ME......... and guess who drinks frappuccinos now.... HA!

Haiti Relief

So, I had to take moment and say how completely heart broken I am! As I view the images and read the stories about the natural disaster in Haiti, my heart goes out. Emotional Monday.....

So, Brody Joseph got a step closer to graduating college and beginning his career this week.... my baby/toddler began daycare. As I finalized the details last week and reviewed his daily schedule (Ha! He does have one of those), I became a little.... i don't know.... sad. It was just another reminder of how fast this all goes by! There is a bright light.... all of the 'he's growing up' emotion is all worth the daily heart flutters I get every evening when picking him up. As soon as he sees my face (and cute shoes) he gets soooo excited and runs (or wobbles) towards me as fast as he can! I.LOVE.IT! I mean, I've been around for twenty-faux years and I've NEVER had someone so excited to see little 'ol me! The funny part is he just saw me that morning.... I'm a super star to him!

what a cute yet busy week! You guys know how much I fancy the Holiday season, but there's nothing like Christmas in the City..... New York City that is. You could just feel it in the atmosphere and although my Starbucks order was never less than 8 bucks.... I had a wonderful time! I have an embarrassing confession to make.. I'll only share with you guys.. As I enjoyed my lunch at a very NY corner cafe.. for just one moment... I pretended to be Carrie Bradshaw.. HA!

I surprisingly missed NC... and my little bumble bee.... and you guys.... and my pink xmas tree.

Happy Thanksgiving, my lovies!

A day late, I know.... but we thought about you with every single bite of cranberry sauce. So, I had it all planned out. I would prepare a special mini meal just so Brody's one year old little body wouldn't have to endure the grease, gravy, and lard of Thanksgiving dinner. Don't know what I was thinking. Brody Joseph wasn't having it. As I sat beside him on the couch, plate in hand, he proceeded to dive head first into my cornbread dressing! It was hilarious. I said, "BrodyJoseph, that's very animalistic!" HA! Needless to say, we fed him lard.... and he was in heaven!

We are thankful for soooo many things, large and small! Especially my Brody Lovers! You guys are a large part of the reason I am loveloving life right now! Hope you had a lovie Thanksgiving with the ones you fancy and plenty of yummy food!
